Addiction

There is no single, “right" way to finding your way toward recovery from addiction. It’s often finding the right combination of recovery techniques, skills, purpose, and a faithful ally that can bring ideas, support and encouragement to stand with you until you have regained your freedom. 12-Step programs have also proven to be a very effective path for those recovering from addiction, and combining the 12-Steps with other therapeutic techniques derived from experience and research has been shown to support and enhance the journey. This requires support partners who have made it their vocation to explore and understand the inner dynamics of addiction and who long to assist people struggling with addiction to better understand and overcome the forces at work.
Some who struggle with addiction have also previously acquired emotional traumas and injuries that can complicate their recovery. A competent helping professional is one who has made it his/her life’s work to personally explore, research and understand not only addiction, but the mixed experience of simply being human in this world. We can provide you with a broad-based, voluntary, self-paced offering of support which you can learn more about at a free and confidential initial consultation.
