Mind and Heart Mending

           Over the past 10-20 years we have come a long way in discovering how attachment injury and traumatic stress are involved in depression, anxiety, and other personal struggles. We know now how to engage the natural wisdom of the mind and body in the healing process. Living life involves a lot of wear and tear which many times can offer clues to current struggles.

           Sometimes it may be that a previous attachment injury or a traumatic emotional injury, even a physical injury, can set off a series of unexpected effects can exhaust the body's defenses and cause complications.  With a little encouragement the wisdom of your body and mind can be given a chance at its own restoration,

Depression, Anxiety, and other Overwhelming Mood Struggles.

           There are many effective ways we've discovered to help with these challenges to daily life which include Sensorimotor Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Relational EMDR,  mindfulness techniques, exploring Psychomotor techniques, stress and trauma based approaches to healing, to name a few, and with the assistance of art, music, and dance, meditation, and even bible study and fellowship, all done with an emphasis on self-compassion.  And done with great reason for optimism.
